De Panne boasts Belgium’s widest and sunniest beach, which is bordered by a gorgeous sand dune nature reserve. It is the perfect place for hours of beach and dune fun during the day or a romantic beach walk at sunset!
Enjoy the lovely nature reserves in and around De Panne. Be amazed by the vast Westhoek reserve, the fossil dunes of Cabour, the Oosthoek dunes, the Houtsaeger dunes and the Calmeyn wood.
Fancy a weekend of cycling? De Panne and its surroundings offer plenty of charming routes, such as the Cobergher route, the Veurne-Ambacht route or the North Sea route. Another pleasant alternative is to go and take a look just across the French border.
Mountain bikers can also have a great time in the Moeren, in the Calmeyn wood and around the Hoge Blekker. The Paul Herygers route and the Ringslot route offer mountain bikers a wonderful trail in and around De Panne!
We are always happy to provide our guests with useful advice and collaborate with the local bike rental company. Cycling maps are at your disposal in our B&B!
Perhaps you feel more adventurous and are ready for an introductory course in windsurfing, kiteboarding or land sailing? Side Shore Surfers De Panne and land sailing club De Krab offer a wide range of recreational activities for both novice and expert sailors!
The Opal Coast with the Cap Gris-Nez and the Cap Blanc-Nez or the beautiful market square of Bergues with its charming terraces... Within approximately one hour driving distance from De Panne, you can discover the wonderful landscape of French Flanders.
The Belgian coast can best be explored from De Panne with the coastal tram. The nearest tram stop (De Panne Centrum) is at 2 minutes walking distance from the B&B. An efficient way to plan a day trip to Nieuwpoort or Ostend.
Would you like to stay a bit longer in our B&B and get to know the hinterland? A trip to Veurne, Diksmuide or Ypres is definitely worth it!
De Panne has a variety of great places to visit for a delicious lunch or a nice dinner. You can choose from a wide array of restaurants, offering everything from Michelin-starred menus to a simple yet mouth-watering portion of mussels and fries. Pure delight in unique locations! We are happy to give our guests advice on this matter!
Are you a golf fan? ‘Golf ter Hille’, one of the most prestigious and recently completed golf projects in Flanders, can be found only a few kilometres away from De Panne. No less than 84 hectares of land and 27 holes where the wind never ceases to be a real challenge!
